NEW YORK — A suspect was arrested Thursday night after a pickup truck driver struck several pedestrians in Manhattan, authorities said.
According to New York City police, the incident happened just before 9 p.m. on Water Street, between Montgomery and Jackson streets on the Lower East Side.
Police say the driver of a gray pickup truck struck several pedestrians. At least seven people were injured, the NYPD said, four of whom were in critical condition.
One suspect has been arrested.
The circumstances of the crash were unclear. The investigation is ongoing.
