A driver was killed in a car wreck on a remote stretch of road in the Lucerne Valley on Sunday night, officials said.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was first reported at Crystal Creek and Santa Rosa roads around 8:30 p.m.
The driver died at the scene, CHP logs show. No other vehicles or persons were reportedly involved.
The victim’s identity was not released pending positive identification and notification of family by the San Bernardino County coroner’s office. No description was available.
No further details were released as the investigation was still in its early stages.
