Nov. 5 – A traffic stop Monday on Interstate 65 led to the drug arrest of a fugitive from justice who is the subject of nationwide extradition warrants in multiple states for rape, kidnapping, sexual assault, battery, forcible prostitution and aggravated assault, according to Priceville- Police.
Steven Ramone White, 38, of Cleveland, Ohio, is being held in the Morgan County Jail on charges of trafficking in fentanyl, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and using a false identity to avoid or hinder prosecution, according to the release. prison records.
Priceville police stopped White’s vehicle at 11:30 p.m. Monday for improper lane usage near mile marker 331 on southbound I-65, police said. After the vehicle was stopped, police began a field search for narcotics and found fentanyl and marijuana, police said.
White initially gave officers false identification information, but he was eventually identified as a fugitive from justice, police said.
