[autotag]Nicole Caliari[/autotag] figuratively speaking [autotag]Corinne LaFramboise[/autotag]’s arm home with her Tuesday at Dana White’s Contender Series 71.
In the opening bout at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Brazil’s Caliari (8-2) defeated Canada’s LaFramboise (8-5) with an armbar at 4:45 of the first round. Referee Kerry Hatley ruled the submission a verbal one, according to the broadcast.
Caliari, 27, maintained her 100 percent finishing rate in victories. Her only two career losses came to UFC alumni Kay Hansen and Syuri Kondo.
LaFramboise, 35, has snapped a three-fight winning streak. She was set to compete in DWCS in 2023 but was pulled from the competition after discovering she was pregnant.
