After a woman was attacked and sexually assaulted Thursday morning at Lebanon Hills Regional Park in Eagan, authorities are warning people to be vigilant and travel with someone else while using the trails as they increase police patrols in the area.
The woman was attacked around 11 a.m. while walking alone along the park’s walking path, according to an Eagan Police Department news release Friday evening.
Authorities say the attack comes two months after a similar incident was reported at the same location on September 7 at 4:30 p.m. In that case, the potential victim was able to escape.
The incidents are being investigated by the Eagan Police Department and the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office.
