WAYNESBORO – A 22-year-old man has been arrested following an early morning shooting in Waynesboro, according to a release from the Waynesboro Police Department.
Police arrested Dustin Allen Dove, 23, of McGaheysville, for his alleged involvement in the shooting, the release said.
Around 4:18 a.m. Saturday morning, Waynesboro officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1300 block of D Street, the report said. They found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds and he was transported to UVA Medical Center for treatment. Police say his condition is currently unknown.
The Rush Taskforce and members of the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office made the arrest without incident Saturday around 3:30 p.m., Waynesboro police said.
Police say Dove has been charged with use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and aggravated malicious wounding.
