At least one person was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on eastbound State Highway 4 in Pittsburg early Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP said patrol officers were alerted around 5:10 a.m. to a crash involving four vehicles in the eastbound lanes of Highway 4 near the Railroad Avenue exit.
As a result of the crash, all eastbound lanes in the area were blocked and traffic was diverted to the Bailey Road exit, according to the CHP.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes as there is no estimated time for the full reopening of the highway.
