Dec. 13—ELKHART — The Community Foundation of Elkhart County recently announced the recipients of the 2025 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship for Elkhart County.
The three students who will receive full-tuition scholarships at an Indiana college or university are:
—Jaden Fear of NorthWood High School
—Tageeya Galeb from Goshen High School
—Annika Troyer from Concord High School
Each Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship provides full tuition, mandatory fees and a special allocation of up to $900 per year for required books and equipment for four years. The scholarship is intended for full-time students pursuing a baccalaureate degree at an eligible public or private non-profit college or university in Indiana. Lilly Endowment Community Scholars can also participate in the Lilly Scholars Network, which connects both current scholars and alumni with resources and opportunities to be active leaders on their campuses and in their communities. Both the scholarship program and the LSN are supported by grants from Lilly Endowment to Independent Colleges of Indiana and Indiana Humanities.
Lilly Endowment Community Scholars are known for their community involvement, academic achievement, character and leadership.
“This year’s applicants were a strong group and the volunteers and staff who interviewed the finalists were extremely impressed,” said Guy Fisher, Community Foundation Chief Program Officer.
Each eligible high school in Elkhart County nominates one senior student based on academic performance (including grades and course load), extracurricular and community involvement, work experience, career goals, special circumstances, interview and an essay. After the field was narrowed, nominees were submitted to ICI, the statewide administrator of the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program, which approves the final selection of scholarship recipients.
