Emma Raducanu has withdrawn from the quarterfinals of the Korea Open due to a left foot injury, losing the first set 6-1 to top seed Daria Kasatkina.

The Briton was hoping to reach her first semi-final above the WTA 250 level since winning the US Open in 2021.

Kasatkina had not dropped a set to Raducanu in two previous meetings, including a 6-2, 6-2 quarter-final victory on grass in Eastbourne three months ago.

Raducanu reached the quarterfinals of the Korea Open after beating Yue Yuan.
