July 4 – Many of the region’s Independence Day activities were planned before today’s Fourth of July, but Enon also has options for those looking for a patriotic parade.
Enon’s annual Fourth of July Parade begins today at 2 p.m. Sponsored by the Enon — Mad River Township Fire Department, the event begins at Greenon Schools, goes through the construction zone on Xenia Road and ends at the Firehouse on Main Street.
After the parade, a community picnic is planned at the local fire station.
Below is an overview of what else there is to experience in the region this long weekend:
Urban
The Urbana Fireworks will take place on Saturday, July 6th, at sunset at Grimes Field 1636 N Main St, Urbana. The fireworks display is provided by the Rotary Club of Urbana, Ohio, and its Community Members.
Earlier in the day, Rotary will kick off the first fireworks festival at 11:00 a.m., and it will continue until the fireworks light up the sky. There will be airplanes, food and craft stalls, children’s activities, and live music throughout the day.

Fairborn Fourth of July Parade
The parade begins today at 10 a.m. and will run from Central Avenue to Main Street. Festivities will resume today at 4 p.m. with fireworks in the evening. More information is available online at fairbornoh.gov/government/parks___recreation/festivals___parades.php.
Yellow Spring Fourth of July
Events will be held at Gaunt Park, 500 WS College St., Yellow Springs. A parade will begin at 2 p.m. today at the Yellow Springs Fire Station, 225 Corry St. Fireworks are planned for tonight. In the afternoon, guests are welcome to set up chairs for the event, listen to local music, and purchase food from the trucks. Fourth of July Celebration on Kings Island
