A group of individuals are raising awareness about the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine and asking the public to join their efforts.
Hope, Help, and Healing is a new fundraiser aimed at educating locals about current humanitarian needs in Ukraine.
ECGRA awards more than $150,000 in grants to local green spaces
Two volunteers will share their personal experiences providing critical medical care and assistance to those affected by the war.
One speaker hoped to remind Americans that the war is not over.
PennDOT aims to keep students safe with its annual Operation Safe Stop initiative
“This is an event where we must convey the message that no Ukraine is not part of Russia and no, the war is not over and in fact every city continues to be bombed and put under protection,” said speaker Maria Karpenko.
“The experiences I had in Ukraine opened my eyes wide to the civilian victims,” said Alex Zawacki, an organizer. “This group in Ukraine supports these people.”
There will be a free event with light bites and cocktails: one on October 28 at the Women’s Club in Warren and another on October 29 at the UPMC Park Stadium Club. Both events start at 6:00 PM
