The ex-wife of slain Woodland Hills doctor Hamid Mirshojae made her first court appearance in downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday. murder charges with special charges of lying in wait and murder for financial gain.
Ahang Mirshojae, 53, was charged Monday by District Attorney Nathan Hochman, who said “she has been charged with effectively hiring a hitman” to kill her ex-husband.
The Calabasas woman’s arraignment was postponed until Jan. 6 and she will remain in jail without bail.
Public records show that Ahang Mirshojae divorced the doctor in 2010.

Co-suspect Sarallah Jawed, 26, of Canoga Park, was arrested Wednesday and faces a murder charge, with a special circumstance charge of murder for financial gain. He appeared in court on Monday.
According to the Public Prosecution Service, Jawed drove Hardman out of the state a few days after the murder.
A fourth defendant, Ashley Rose Sweeting, 40, of Reseda, was arrested last Tuesday and pleaded not guilty last Thursday to accessory after the fact along with the charge that she has one or more prior convictions for serious or violent crimes. .
Sweeting is accused of driving Hardman to and from the shooting scene and remains jailed in lieu of $1 million bail. She is due back in court on December 24, when a date will be set for a hearing to determine if there is enough evidence against her. to bring the case to trial.
Prosecutors immediately declined to file charges against another man arrested in the case last week, Shawn Randolph, 46, of Valley Village, pending further investigation by police.
