Late last month, the Philadelphia Flyers sent prospect Jett Luchanko back to the Guelph Storm for the remainder of the season. This was after the 2024 first round four-game series with the Flyers.
It was easy to see why the Flyers moved Luchanko back to juniors, as he wasn’t getting consistent playing time with the NHL squad. Now he’s playing a much more important role for the Storm, and as a result he’s starting to blossom.
In the Storm’s most recent match against the London Knights, Luchanko put in a spectacular performance, recording four assists in the 8-7 defeat of Guelph.
It is extremely encouraging to see Luchanko put in such an excellent performance. He is one of the Flyers’ most promising prospects, and a game like this effectively showcases that. He now has two goals and eight points in six games with Guelph this season.
