Motorists in Canyon County should expect detours early next week, according to a news release.
The Idaho Transportation Department will close the westbound 10th Avenue ramp to Interstate 84 on Monday and Tuesday evenings from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Then, on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., the westbound 10th Avenue exit on I-84 will be closed, the news release said.
“Flaggers will direct traffic on 10th Avenue under the 10th Avenue Bridge overnight from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.,” the release said. “During this work, motorists will be driving on a gravel surface on 10th Avenue.”
The closure is part of ITD’s improvements along I-84 in Canyon County.
“Motorists can expect occasional local road, lane and ramp closures throughout the life of the project,” the news release said. “The expectation is that construction will be completed in 2027.”
