A Hartford woman was murdered nearly six years ago. Her family has not given up hope of finding her killer.
A recent Facebook post from Peskey’s sister, Jessica Renken, posted a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Peskey’s killer.
The offer is limited: those with information have until December 21 to come forward, according to the post.
“Please, if you know ANYTHING that can help us complete her story, please come forward now! This is a very limited time offer, make it count!” Renken wrote in the Facebook post.
Troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol found the body of Peskey, 40, in the driver’s seat of a car that crashed on Interstate 70 near Boonville, Missouri, on Dec. 13, 2018, at 10:30 p.m., according to previous reports.

An autopsy found that Peskey, a Hartford real estate agent, died of a gunshot fired from outside the vehicle, according to previous reports. Her two children, then ages 5 and 11, were also in the car at the time of the shooting. They were unharmed.
Despite receiving more than 60 leads within the first week of the incident, being featured on “Good Morning America” and appearing on the NBS News segment “Dateline,” investigators still have not found Peskey’s killer.
According to previous reports, authorities are remaining tight-lipped about Peskey’s case. In 2018, they would not reveal what the children saw, where on her body Peskey was shot, what type of gun was used, whether the vehicle was moving or where Peskey went.

In a phone call with the Argus Leader on Tuesday, Sgt. Bradley Germann said that while “the leads in Peskey’s case have diminished significantly,” there are individuals of interest in Peskey’s murder.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol considers Peskey’s case an open and active investigation, Germann said. He said Peskey’s case is ‘still pending’ [department’s] radar.”
A GoFundMe page for the family has received more than $11,000 in donations over the years. Peskey’s husband had recently returned home from a military deployment in Afghanistan before the shooting occurred. The GoFundMe was intended to support Christmas presents for the children and funeral arrangements for Peskey.
Peskey was known for her commitment to her children and to the Children’s Miracle Network, according to previous reports. The woman always gave her children full attention, while friends said Peskey was “the epitome of what a mother should be and do.”
According to previous reporting, Peskey had been volunteering for Children’s Miracle Network for many years at the time of her death. The Peskey family were themselves a ‘miracle family’ when one of their daughters was born prematurely.
Those with information about Peskey’s death can contact the Missouri Highway Patrol at (573) 751-1000.
