PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Fans flooded Lincoln Financial Field in South Philadelphia on Tuesday night to see the Rolling Stones.

“I’ve been seeing the Stones since 1978,” says Virginia native Tricia McClung.

Fans came from all over and said they had been looking forward to the show for a while.

“I promised my wife that every time the Stones come to town I would buy tickets and we would come,” said Bruce Anlage.

Others were so excited they couldn’t wait to get to the Linc. They say they know the Stones will put on a good show.

“I’m actually afraid that when it’s over I’ll be depressed and in a bad mood,” Linda Fellows said.

Fans say the band is timeless and brings back memories. Some walked around the back to pass the time before the show started.

“We had a great time. Great energy,” said Sue White.

Ultimately, the love for the Stones remains.
