Fantasy Football Week 2 Rankings: Tight Ends (Half-PPR)

Raise your hand if you fell victim to the big Week 1 tight end trap in 2024.

Do you have your hand up?

Ours too. Feel free to lower your hands (and heads) in a brief moment of silence as we mourn the great start our early-round tight ends could have provided fantasy managers but didn’t.

Even the “safest” assets at the position were disappointing in Week 1, including All-Pros tight ends Travis Kelce and Mark Andrews — both of whom likely cost you a draft pick in Rounds 2-4, making the blow even worse. Injuries to Jake Ferguson and David Njoku only complicated matters further, as both are likely to miss time given that they were two favorites for those wanting a late-round TE.

Oddly enough, it was Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts who saved the day for fantasy managers brave enough to draft him after back-to-back disappointments in the 2022 and 2023 seasons. Pitts posted a 3-26-1 stat line that allowed him to pull off a miraculous top-three finish. Yeah… the bar was set that low this week.
