In a free Zoom program live from Katmai National Park in Alaska on October 15, Interpretive Ranger Keith Moore will talk about the importance of salmon in our ecosystem and present a review of ‘Fat Bear Week’.
“Fat Bear Week” has become a media phenomenon for the tenth time and has had a huge impact on Katmai National Park. The event just ended on October 8th. “Fat Bear Week” is a fun contest where participants vote for the fattest bear of the year.
The 7 p.m. program with Ranger Moore is presented by the UT Arboretum Society. It’s free, but registration is required to receive your Zoom link and the recording. Register at www.utarboretumsociety.org/programs/. Subtitles are available, according to a press release.
