Felittese Festival ends in Old Forge

OLD POWER, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — After the bad weather on Saturday, conditions couldn’t have been better for the final day of the festival in Old Forge.

The Felittese Festival took place all weekend to celebrate the municipality’s new partnership with Felitto, Italy.

A delegation from Felitto attended the signing of the partnership, which emphasises shared culture and history.

Festival-goers raved about the warm atmosphere, the entertainment and the fantastic food.

“It’s very welcoming, the hospitality is great, the food is delicious. You can’t get any better than that,” said Angelina Stella, a Philadelphia resident.

In honor of the partnership with Felitto, a new sign will be placed on Main Street in Old Forge, while a granite sign with the Old Forge name will be placed in Felitto so everyone can see the special international connection.
