A FEMA Disaster Recovery Center has returned to Daytona Beach.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency said the site first saw high demand in mid-November.
Officials said that between Nov. 12 and Nov. 19, more than 1,000 residents affected by Hurricane Milton visited the John H. Dickerson Community Center.
Officials therefore decided to reopen the DRC from November 30 to December 7.

In a DRC, residents can directly contact a FEMA representative and other disaster relief organizations, including the U.S. Small Business Administration and the American Red Cross.
These organizations strive to provide one-on-one assistance in finding possible recovery options.
Volusia County residents affected by Hurricane Milton and unable to apply for benefits virtually are encouraged to visit a DRC in person for assistance.
