Zurich – A female jogger was killed by a naked man who shouted and attacked people at a lakeside park in Switzerland, police said on Wednesday. The attack took place on Tuesday evening in Mannedorf on Lake Zurich, about 20 kilometers southeast of Switzerland’s largest city, Zurich cantonal police said.
A 19-year-old suspect was arrested.
“On Tuesday evening, a woman was attacked and fatally injured by a man in Mannedorf,” police said, adding that the woman was jogging.
“Shortly before 8:00 PM (1:00 PM Eastern), passersby reported a man in Alma Park running around naked, yelling and physically attacking other people. Emergency services who rushed to the scene found a seriously injured woman lying on the ground,” police said, adding that “despite immediate resuscitation, the woman died from her serious injuries.”

The suspect, a Swiss national, was also found in the park and arrested, police said.
The identity of the victim was not released due to an ongoing investigation, which included determining whether the suspect and the victim knew each other.
After questioning, the suspect will be referred to the Public Prosecution Service for serious violent crimes, the police said.
There were no immediate reports that other people attacked by the suspect were seriously injured.
