Firefighters airlift man to safety after he falls 30 feet from a coastal cliff in San Pedro

Firefighters pulled a man to safety late Sunday night after he fell dozens of feet from a coastal cliff in San Pedro.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the incident was reported around 9:15 p.m. in the “Sunken City” area, located in the 4000 block of S. Bluff Place.

They say the 21-year-old man hurt his back in the fall and was unable to get to safety on his own.

Together with the helicopter. Land and sea units were called to the area for the rescue.

SkyCal was overhead when the man was lifted from the ground into the LAFD rescue helicopter.

The victim’s condition was not immediately known as he was flown to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
