Firefighters quickly gained control of a trash fire in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the fire was first reported around 4:15 p.m. in the 700 block of S. Kohler Street.
According to the fire department, it took the fire department just over 45 minutes to completely extinguish the fire. They were able to contain the fire to the outside of the area where it originated.
“LAFD HEAVY EQUIPMENT HAS BEEN RETURNED TO HELP CLEAR SMOLDERING SPACE FROM THE LARGE PILE OF DEBRIS OUTSIDE,” the statement said.
