Andrae, 22, played in four games for the Flyers last season, with zero points and a minus-1 rating. In the AHL with the Phantoms, he had quite an impact, with five goals and 32 points in 61 games. He also had two goals and an assist in six postseason games with the Phantoms.
It’s understandable that the Flyers recalled Andrae as Nick Seeler is currently sidelined with an injury. In addition, the Flyers announced that Seeler has been placed on injured reserve retroactive to October 1.
With this recall, Andrae now has a golden opportunity to leave a good impression. It will be intriguing to see how much of an impact the youngster can make if he joins the NHL squad from here.
