Former CNN host Lemon sues Musk over canceled X deal

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Former CNN anchor Don Lemon filed a lawsuit against Elon Musk on Thursday, alleging the billionaire entrepreneur refused to pay him after a partnership with social media platform X ended.

A legal document shows the lawsuit was filed in California Superior Court in San Francisco.

X canceled the collaboration with Lemon in March after saying in an interview that Musk would be his first guest.

“His approach was basically ‘CNN on social media,’ and that doesn’t work,” Musk later said in a post on the platform, adding that Lemon was happy to drive more viewership on the platform.

Lemon, a popular primetime personality, was fired from CNN in April of last year after 17 years with the cable television network, following a brief stint as co-host of the morning show.
