Barwick is a native of St. Albert, Alta. He played the 2023-24 season with the Lions, but did not play a single game for the team.
Prior to entering the NCAA, Barwick played parts of four seasons for the Brooks Bandits (AJHL). In 111 career regular season games, he compiled a record of 98-9-2, along with a 2.08 GAA and .913 SV%.
His impressive junior career also included winning two AJHL championships with the Bandits (in 2021-22 and 2022-23), AJHL Playoff MVP and a spot on the AJHL (South) All-Star Team (both in 2022-23).
Although Barwick has never seen a game with the Lions, he has the chance to be a solid addition to the Wildcats. If he can find his form quickly, Barwick will be one to watch.
