Former Wild Forward has received a five-match suspension

Former Minnesota Wild forward Ryan Reaves was suspended for five games by the NHL after his hit on Edmonton Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse.

Reaves, 37, was given a five-game suspension and a $35,156.25 fine by the league. The money goes to the Player Emergency Assistance Fund.

The 6-foer-2 forward spent one season in Minnesota. He recorded five goals, 15 points, 152 hits and 31 penalty minutes.
