Authorities are still investigating what caused a large boat to catch fire in Long Beach on Friday evening, prompting all passengers to jump into the water to avoid the flames.
According to the Long Beach Fire Department, it happened in the water canal near the Queen Mary and Hotel Maya around 7:10 p.m.
For unknown reasons, the 30-foot ship caught fire, causing all seven people on board to abandon ship.
Rescue crews rescued all seven people who jumped overboard, four of whom required hospitalization. None of their conditions were immediately known. The three others were treated at the scene but did not require medical transport.
Crews moved the ship to an isolation dock, where investigators are still working to determine what caused the flames.
