December 14 – Francisco Matthew Gonzales Frank Gonzales, a loving father, devoted son and dear friend, passed away on December 2, 2024 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, at the age of 55. He was born on June 18, 1969, in Albuquerque, where he grew up. He later moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where he met and married the love of his life, Cindy. Frank’s career included an impressive 33 years at Albertson’s Market, where he not only worked diligently but also made a profound impact as a mentor to countless individuals. His warm spirit and unwavering dedication inspired many colleagues, and he became known for his generosity and kindness that extended beyond the workplace. Frank took great pride in his work and thrived on the connections he made and the lives he helped shape along the way. An esteemed graduate of Manzano High School, class of 1987, Frank continued the values ​​he learned in his formative years as he sought to uplift his community. He was actively involved in local charities, particularly supporting schools and organizations such as the Albuquerque Christian Children’s Home, demonstrating his commitment to giving back and making a difference. Frank was passionate about his interests. He had an undying love for golf and taught his wife, Cindy, to play alongside him and his friends. He was an avid football fan, especially when it came to cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. His admiration for his BMW car was also well known and represented both his taste in cars and part of the adventurous spirit he embraced. Even during his professional life, Frank made his family his priority. He is survived by his beloved mother, Della Gonzales of Albuquerque, NM, and his sister, Susan (Jerry May) Gonzales. Frank was a proud father of his daughter, Alexandra (Andrew) Garcia of Phoenix, AZ, and his sons, Chad (Jessica) Ruvalcava of San Juan Capistrano, CA, Anthony Gonzales of Rio Rancho, NM, and Frankie Gonzales of Scottsdale, AZ . He is further survived by his caring nieces, Jaqueline Besterfield and Ema Carrion, both of Albuquerque, NM, as well as his loving sister-in-law, Yolanda Gonzales. Frank’s legacy will be forever remembered, especially in the hearts of those he loved and who loved him. He was preceded in death by his father, Manual Ray Gonzales; his sister, Victoria Gonzales; and his brother, Manual Gonzales. They now welcome him as he joins them in eternal peace. Services begin with the recitation of the Rosary, 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 20, 2024, Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church, 8901 Candelaria NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112. Mass will follow at 11 a.m.
