‘Frightened’ passenger climbs out of emergency exit after Alaska Airlines arrives at gate

On Sunday, an Alaska Airlines flight from Milwaukee to Seattle was too much for one passenger who decided to open the emergency exit and climbed to the plane’s wing after arriving at the gate.

Flight 323 from Milwaukee completed its taxi ride to Gate N9 and as passengers disembarked the plane, one passenger decided to find his own way out.

“Upon arriving at a gate for an inbound flight from Milwaukee, a passenger opened an emergency exit row door and exited through the wing,” a witness told KIRO 7.

According to the SEA Airport spokesperson, the passenger became concerned, opened the emergency exit and climbed onto the wing.

The Port of Seattle fire and a crisis intervention team arrived to evaluate her.

“The port does NOT want to file charges against her. But maybe she broke FAA rules. So they, the FAA and the FBI have been warned.” said the SEA spokesperson.

Alaska Airlines released the following statement:

This evening, there was an incident involving a disruptive guest on Alaska Airlines Flight 323 upon arrival in Seattle from Milwaukee. The case was resolved safely. We are working with our crew and airport officials to gather more details about what may have happened. We thank our staff for their quick response and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused our guests.

This story is developing and will be updated.
