GAC launches flagship M8 MPV for the Middle East

GAC has launched its latest flagship MPV, the M8, in Kuwait. It says the new-generation model will “redefine luxury and comfort for businesses and extended families in the region.”

GAC said one of the M8’s most notable features is its “Awakening Eye” LED headlights, which include height adjustment and a follow-me-home function. The ‘Time Gate’ LED taillights provide a distinctive presence at the rear, while the ‘Lion-style’ grille and ‘Diamond-cut’ side beltlines give the car an impressive and elegant appearance, the company said.

The M8 is equipped with an electromagnetic suspension system (SDC) that adjusts damping forces in real time, which GAC says provides a smooth ride over varying road conditions to improve handling and passenger comfort.

The M8 comes with a ‘360° all-round airbag matrix’ including an airbag for the rear window, a first in the MPV class. This feature, along with other features such as the door open warning system (DOW) and L2 self-driving assistance, positions the M8 as a leader in passenger protection, GAC claims.
