Gang arrested after million euro jewelery heist at Frankfurt airport

German police have arrested four suspects who allegedly took part in a jewelery heist at Frankfurt airport.

Police said Wednesday that a suitcase full of jewelry was stolen on Nov. 8 from a dealer who took it to the airport. The man estimated the value of the suitcase at 1.2 million euros.

After analyzing security images, the police were able to determine that at least four people were involved in the theft.

They were able to locate these individuals in the Mainz-Mombach area of ​​West Germany. The suspects, aged 63, 51, 49 and 43, were arrested with luggage when they left the building where they were staying. They are now in police custody.

During a search of the alleged thieves’ car, officers discovered hundreds of pieces of jewelry, worth up to $32,000 each, packaged and ready for shipping.
