State gas prices rose for a second straight week on Monday to an average of $3.091 per gallon of regular fuel, up from last week’s price of $3.087 per gallon, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
The average price of fuel in the state has increased about 1 cent since last month. According to the EIA, gas prices across the state last year were as low as $3.06 on Nov. 18, 2024, and as high as $3.86 on Aug. 14, 2023.
A year ago, the average gasoline price in New York was 8% higher at $3.37 per gallon.

The average price of gas in the United States last week was $3.03, making prices in the state about 1.9% higher than the national average. The average national gas price is down from last week’s average of $3.04 per gallon.
