At least seven people have been killed and another 22 injured in an Israeli airstrike on Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, an official at the European Hospital in the city said.
A spokesperson for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said the report was under investigation. According to reports from residents of the city, the dead had accompanied humanitarian aid on the orders of Hamas.
There have been increasing reports of looting of aid supplies by civilians in the Gaza Strip, amid warnings from aid groups that law and order is collapsing.
