Geely will launch hybrids with more economical engines

Planned in H1 2025

China’s Geely has announced it will launch hybrid models with its more fuel-efficient next-generation engine in the first half of 2025, Reuters reports.

The new models will be launched for the Galaxy series and the Lynk & Co brand.

According to a product certificate issued by government-owned CATARC Huacheng Certification Co, Geely’s engine achieves a thermal efficiency of up to 46.1%.

The company said this was one of the highest in the world.

Earlier this week, rival BYD launched two hybrid sedans with its new hybrid technology, priced from 99,800 yuan ($13,800).

“Geely to launch hybrids with more fuel-efficient engines” was originally created and published by Just Auto, a brand owned by GlobalData.
