DULUTH, Minn. — Two police officers and a staff member were injured in a fight at a Duluth high school on Tuesday.

Duluth police say it happened around noon at Denfeld High School when “several students” started fighting.

Police say the officers and a staff member were “assaulted” while trying to disperse the students involved.

A “chemical irritant” was also released during the altercation, although it is unclear by whom, which affected three other staff members.

Police say a 14-year-old girl was detained and taken to the Arrowhead Juvenile Center and is expected to face criminal charges, including a probation violation.
