A man was shot in the arm late Monday night at a Jacksonville home in the 6900 block of Arques Road, police said. Officers learned of the shooting after receiving a call just after midnight to UF Health Emergency & Urgent Care, 888 Lane Ave., in reference to a person shot.
That’s where officers found the victim, a man in his early 20s, police said at a press conference Tuesday morning. The man was taken to another hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and a woman in her mid-30s was taken into custody, police said.
The relationship between the victim and the suspect is that of godmother and godson, police said. Police said they believe the meter took the victim to the emergency room.
