Thanksgiving is over, December is here and there is still golf to be played – some of it is even important.
While the Hero World Challenge, with its elite field of 20will make headlines this week, the LPGA and PGA Tour champions will contest the final legs of their respective qualifying events.
The PGA Tour will hold its Q-School finals next week in Florida, which will also host the mixed Grant Thornton Invitational a few hundred miles away.
Although Tiger Woods will not participate in the Hero, he will appear and speak to the media as a tournament presenter. There’s also a good chance he’ll play with son Charlie in the PNC Championship, Dec. 21-22, where he could drive a cart in a 36-hole scramble.
Here’s a look at December’s event schedule, including the latest iteration of The Match – er, The Showdown – pitting Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler against Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau.
