Goshen gas station robbed at gunpoint

Nov. 17 – Goshen police responded Friday at 6:41 p.m. to a robbery in progress at AMCO, 112 W. Pike St., where two men allegedly entered the convenience store and pointed a gun at the cashier in an attempt to get money to steal .

ARRESTSThree people were jailed on charges of driving a vehicle while drunk in separate incidents. Police also made an arrest on charges of resisting law enforcement.

– A 26-year-old woman was arrested and jailed by Goshen police at 12:23 a.m. Saturday on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with priors and possession of marijuana following a traffic stop near Elkhart Road and Bashor Road for violation of the equipment.

– A 23-year-old man was arrested and jailed by Goshen police at 2:18 a.m. Saturday on a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated following a traffic stop in the 100 block of River Vista Drive.

– A 28-year-old man was arrested and jailed by Goshen police at 2:55 a.m. Sunday on a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated after he was stopped for a traffic violation near the intersection of North Chicago Avenue and West Pike Street .

– A 31-year-old man was arrested and jailed by Goshen police on Saturday at 2:12 p.m. on a charge of resisting law enforcement after police tried to stop him on his bicycle near Wilden Avenue and Greene Road on outstanding warrants.

AREA CHECK

Goshen police received a report of shots fired in Winchester Trails at 3:47 a.m. Sunday. Officers arrived on scene and found no indications of a shooting.

SEARCH WARRANT

Goshen police served a search warrant in the 300 block of Cottage Avenue at 6:15 a.m. Sunday.

HIT-AND-RUN

Nicholas Kauffman, 18, of Goshen, reported to Goshen police Friday at 7:55 p.m. that someone had struck his vehicle in the drive-thru of Wendy’s, 2929 Ferndale Road, Elkhart, and left the scene in a black pickup.

BURGLARY

Goshen police were called to Starcraft Bus, 2367 Century Drive, at 4:53 a.m. Sunday after a door was forced open.

THEFT

– A 28-year-old woman reported the theft from a vehicle in the 800 block of South 10th Street to Goshen police at 7:31 a.m. Saturday.

– A 23-year-old woman reported to Goshen police at 9:42 a.m. Saturday that the registration sticker had been removed from her license plate in the 200 block of Silverwood Lane.

CRIMINAL ILLEGAL

– A 47-year-old woman reported damage to the storage unit in the 2900 block of West Wilden Avenue to Goshen police at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

– A 30-year-old man reported the theft of projectors and extension cords from his yard in the 1300 block of South 11th Street to Goshen police Saturday at 5:29 p.m.
