Governor appoints veteran prosecutor as new Miami County Municipal Court judge

A veteran prosecutor will become the new judge of the Miami County Municipal Court.

Governor Mike DeWijn announced the appointment of Miami County District Attorney Anthony Kendell to fill the vacancy left by retiring Judge Gary Nasal, Court News Ohio reported.

Kendell began his career in 1993 as a legal assistant at the Public Prosecution Service.

From 2000 to 2011, he served as a district attorney in Tipp City, after which he returned to the county district attorney’s office.

Kendell served as an assistant district attorney until becoming district attorney in 2013.

On July 22, he will take over the seat of Judge Nasal.
