Governor Ron DeSantis has scheduled a press conference for Thursday morning to discuss the latest developments surrounding Hurricane Helene.
The governor and other state officials will speak from the State Emergency Operations Center in Tallahassee.
The press conference is scheduled for 9:00 am.
Helene has strengthened to a Category 2 storm and is expected to strengthen further before making landfall near Big Bend, Florida, on Thursday evening.

DeSantis will be joined by Florida’s emergency management and transportation directors.
Major General John Haas, Florida’s Adjutant General, will also be in attendance.
