Grand Forks Fire Department on scene due to gas leak on Washington Street

Nov. 2—GRAND FORKS — The Grand Forks Fire Department responded Saturday to the 5600 block of South Washington Street to repair a gas leak.

The leak occurred after a contractor hit a gas pipe, according to a press release from the fire brigade.

Grand Forks Police, Xcel Energy and Altru Ambulance also assisted.

Firefighters are asked to maintain a safe distance from the accident scene until emergency services can repair the leak.
