Gwyneth Paltrow lists her traditional LA home – where Kendrick Lamar is a neighbor – for $30 million

Actor and wellness guru Gwyneth Paltrow is streamlining her Los Angeles real estate portfolio. Paltrow has put her property in L.A.’s Brentwood neighborhood up for sale for a hair under $30 million, according to the newspaper Wall Street Journal. The Goop founder reportedly cites a few reasons for parting ways with the picturesque property: her children have grown up and moved away, and the completion of her custom-built home in Montecito, California (which graced the cover of Architectural summary in March 2022) after six years of renovation.

Paltrow purchased the 1950-built, traditional-style Brentwood home in 2012 for about $10 million. Since then the Sliding doors star has decorated the single-story home with her signature serene aesthetic and added a one-bedroom guest house to the estate, complete with a wine cellar, gym, home theater, office and games room. The sleek ADU features blonde wood paneling, vaulted ceilings and retractable glass walls that open to a small, tiled patio.

The main house, which was completely renovated in 2009, covers approximately 800 square meters and houses six bedrooms. With the guest house and an additional apartment above the detached two-car garage, there are a total of eight bedrooms and eleven bathrooms spread across approximately 12,800 square feet of living space. It’s clear from the listing photos that the home is just as luxurious and stylish as her Montecito pad; reclaimed wood herringbone floors, a checkerboard-patterned stone entry, and intricate moldings are among the home’s drool-worthy design details. There is also an impressive kitchen diner with honeycomb tiled floors, double hobs and ranges, a wood-burning oven, a huge island and a breakfast area with floor-to-ceiling windows looking out onto the floor.

According to the WJthe Shakespeare in love star will continue to split her time between LA, Montecito and her Hamptons home in Amagansett. According to the outlet, Paltrow’s Brentwood property is right next door to rapper Kendrick Lamar’s new $40 million home.
