Harvard researchers suggest aliens are walking ‘among us’ on Earth

CAMBRIDGE — Are we alone in the universe? A recent paper from Harvard University researchers puts an interesting twist on one of humanity’s biggest questions.

The article, which is not affiliated with the university, discusses a renewed interest in UFOsofficially known as Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena or UAPs by the government. The United States follows more than 650 potential UFOsa Pentagon official said last year.

Harvard researchers Tim Lomas, Brendan Case and Montana Technological University professor Michael Masters have proposed a “cryptoterrestrial hypothesis” for the UFOs, theorizing that there is a “hidden terrestrial explanation” for the sightings. They argue that scientists should seriously consider this possibility, along with explanations that pilots are actually seeing man-made technology or something from an advanced civilization in another part of space.

“We have seen this cockpit videos “So many times… but what’s in it?” Masters said in an interview with CBS News Boston.

What is the cryptoterrestrial hypothesis?

The trio explains that the cryptoterrestrial hypothesis suggests that the intelligent beings responsible for the UFOs could be “secretly” on Earth or nearby. That could mean they are underground, on the far side of the moon, or “even walking among us” posing as humans.

“We’re not saying this is true, we’re not saying this is absolutely 100 percent the case. We’re saying these are some possibilities that could help explain the origins of these creatures,” Masters said.

Masters is a biological anthropologist who said he was asked to help investigate possible explanations for UFOs. He said that “aliens” could actually be people from the distant future who figured out how to travel through time.

Are aliens just people from the future?

Masters said that in reported alien encounters, the beings are “ubiquitously described as looking just like us.” He argues that it is highly unlikely that aliens who look just like humans would come from another planet. It “could just be that they are us,” he said.

“We may well start to look like them,” Masters said, referring to the typical depictions of “little green men.” “Based on our evolutionary characteristics over the last 6 to 8 million years, we’re likely to have larger heads, smaller faces, more advanced technology. Many of these characteristics are described in association with these creatures.”

He suspects that the intelligent beings ‘have remained underground until we are ready for contact’.

“We must look very primitive to them, based on what we see flying in the sky,” Masters said.

“Something we should all be talking about”

a Pentagon Report According to a report published this year, there is no evidence that a UAP sighting “represents extraterrestrial technology.” And while the researchers acknowledge that their paper is “speculative thinking,” they say it deserves serious consideration.

“It’s something we should all be talking about,” Masters said.

He said that technology from the future can help people tackle the major problems they face today, such as climate change.

“What if we all just opened our minds to the fact that there is something much bigger than ourselves right now, and what we can learn from that?” he asked.
