Have You Seen This Woman? Lee’s Summit Police Search for Missing Alzheimer’s Patient

A Silver Alert continues Wednesday as Lee’s Summit police search for a 74-year-old woman with Alzheimer’s disease who has not been seen since Tuesday.

Patricia Ann McCarthy was last seen leaving her home on Bayview Drive in Lee’s Summit around 4 p.m. Tuesday. No one has been able to contact her since.

McCarthy, who is black, is about 5’1” tall and weighs about 120 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She is believed to be driving a tan 2012 Kia Sportage with Colorado license plates DPAX64.

A debit card registered to McCarthy was used Wednesday in Overland Park and Lenexa, police said. In the past, she has traveled to western Kansas, and to Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol has also been tasked with helping locate McCarthy.

Residents who see McCarthy or have information about her whereabouts are asked to contact the Lee’s Summit Police Department at 816-969-7390, extension 7.
