The Hayward BART station was closed for several hours Tuesday morning due to a possible stabbing, transit officials said.
Around 10 a.m., the transit agency announced the closure due to initially unspecified police activity. Trains passed through the station but did not stop.
Video from the helicopter showed part of the station cordoned off with crime scene tape. Transit officials later confirmed it was a possible stabbing incident.
As of 10:35 a.m., the station remained closed and two people had been arrested in connection with the stabbing, BART spokesman Chris Filippi said. Other details were not immediately available.
BART said AC Transit offers bus service between the Hayward and Bayfair stations on the No. 10 bus and between the Hayward and South Hayward stations on the No. 99 bus.
The station reopened around 1 p.m., BART officials said. No further details have been released about the sting investigation.
