CORCORAN, Minn. – A standoff in the western metro on Wednesday evening continues, more than nine hours after police originally arrived.

Corcoran police say they responded to a “call for assistance for an unknown problem” near Cherry Lane and Mystique Drive shortly after noon on Wednesday. The area is limited.

The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office hasn’t provided much information other than mentioning a “barricaded individual.”

There is still a heavy police presence in the area as of 10 p.m.
