Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wesselman Park & Nature Preserve. No entrance fee.
The National Alliance on Mental Iness is hosting an event Saturday at Wesselman Park. It includes a health fair, kids zone, yoga, games, entertainment, face painting, corn on the cob and more.
Tri-State Woodcarvers Club ‘Wonders in Wood’ shows and sells
Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Vanderburgh County 4-H Center Exposition Hall, 201 E. Boonville-New Harmony Road. Admission is $3. Children 12 and under and military members are admitted free.
Tri-State woodcarvers will have hand-carved and machine-carved items on display, as well as woodturning, woodburning and other woodwork to show and sell. Among the exhibitors are several nationally known carvers. Carvings, tools, books, carving supplies and wood will be for sale. There will also be demonstrations in traditional wood carving, hammer carving, bark carving, wood turning, wood burning, scroll sawing and painting during the show.
USI Women’s Choir and Chamber Choir Concert
Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Rice Library reading room on the second floor, 8600 University Blvd. No entrance fee.
The University of Southern Indiana Women’s Choir and Chamber Choir, under the direction of Dan Craig, associate professor of music, will present their first fall semester concert. The concert will feature a variety of music for sacred and secular spaces, emphasizing the movement from darkness to light. Included in the concert are pieces by Józef Świder, Thomas Tomkins, Randall Thompson, René Clausen, Glenn Burleigh and more.
UE Choir performs at Trinity United Methodist Church
Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 216 SE Third St. in Evansville. No entrance fee.
This event is part of a year-long series celebrating the 200th anniversary of Trinity United Methodist Church.
‘Hockey Horrors Night’ with the Evansville Thunderbolts
Saturday at Ford Center in Downtown Evansville at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $18, excluding taxes and fees, and are available at ticketmaster.com.
The Evansville Thunderbolts welcome the Huntsville Havoc for “Hockey Horrors Night” at Ford Center. All players’ jerseys glow in the dark, and pregame guests include “terrifying friends” from the Evansville Nightmare Factory.
Halloween walk and trunk or treat car show
Saturday, October 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Main Street in Evansville, between Third Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
This event includes trick-or-treating at downtown businesses, a costume contest, face painting and “creepy live entertainment.” Auto show categories include “best of” winners for Chevy, motorcycle, Ford, import, Jeep, Mopar, truck and more.
