Hurricane Helene closed dozens of roads in Greenville County as the storm hit the Upstate.
According to the South Carolina Department of Transportation and Greenville County, most of the roads are due to downed power lines and damage caused by flood washouts.
Hurricane Helene killed 48 people in South Carolina and 21 in the Upstate. Six of the Upstate deaths involved individuals who had their cars swept away by flooding or accidents caused by road hazards.
