Highway 101 partially closed after big rig collided with a sedan near Sherman Oaks

The California Highway Patrol partially closed the 101 Freeway near Sherman Oaks after a collision involving a big rig and a sedan.

The car crashes happened on the northbound 101 Freeway near the transition road to the 405 Freeway at about 9:50 p.m.

The collision left the driver of the sedan pinned between a highway wall and the semi-truck.

It is unclear how long the closure will last.
